Here’s a confession for you … I don’t typically like songs that feature female lead vocals. There are a few very notable exceptions. Both my daughters have angelic voices that are capable of moving me to tears. I was also a big fan of Heart back in the day … and I still think Joan Jett has one of the best rock-voices of all time. I would, however, like to take this opportunity to add Natalie Grant to my short-list of female singers that move me. Her song, Your Great Name, is beautiful and haunting all at the same time. It’s one of those songs that stays with you for hours after it’s finished. As such, it is my choice for the song of the week!

Music Monday: Keep Making Me by The Sidewalk Prophets
I haven’t been able to get this song out of my mind for the past couple of weeks. Perhaps it is because I am keenly aware of how God is continually working in my life and continually stretching me and molding me. Whatever the reason, this song has become my prayer: Keep Making Me.
Music Monday: Forgiven and Loved by Jimmy Needham
My wife just discovered this guy yesterday. This song kind of blows me away. He’s kind of like a Christian John Mayer.
