Dying 2 Self Episode #2: The Sin of Gluttony

February 27, 2021February 27, 2021CDGobleLeave a comment

In episode 2 of the Dying 2 Self Podcast I explore the concept that our relationship with food can be sinful. It’s a difficult topic, but one that is essential to deal with if we hope to recover from food addiction.

8 mile long, slow run today with Stef. What a great day to be outside. It was a little chilly, but it at least the sun was shining. I love spending the time with my wife ... even though I can’t keep up with her! #runforgod #slowrunnersclub #running #clydesdalerunner #Run50 #runohio
Having been diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure at 368 pounds, I struggled mightily to get down to 250. But then I fell into a pattern of gaining and losing the same 25 pounds over and over. Running a half marathon at 276 pounds last year hurt! I knew I either had to give up running or figure out my weight. Reaching out to a Health Coach and getting on plan allowed me to break through my weight loss plateau and continue to do something I love. This morning I weighed in at 216 pounds. I’ve decided to step out and train to become a Health Coach so I can offer assistance to anyone that is struggling like I was. If you are interested in a free, no obligation health assessment to learn more about the plan that is helping me achieve my goals, let me know. I would love to partner with you to help you achieve your health and wellness goals. #weightloss #weightlossjourney #weightlosstransformation #running
216.7 lbs this morning. Unreal. I was 368 lbs when I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I managed to lose some weight but fell into a pattern of dropping to 250 and then gaining back 25 pounds. I fluctuated in that zone for a long time and almost gave up. When I ran a half marathon at 275 pounds in 2020, I knew I had to either lose weight or give up running. It hurt. At 50 years old I couldn’t continue to run at that weight. But running alone was not dropping my weight. Turns out, you really can’t outrun a bad diet. I thank God for this plan. It’s allowed me to continue doing something I love and has improved my health. I am blessed! #running #slowrunnersclub #healthyliving #runforgod #Run50 #weightloss #weightlossjourney
